Basking in the Brandywine

In-person members’ programRenowned for its holdings of the Wyeth family of artists, the Brandywine Museum of Art features galleries dedicated to the works of N.C. Wyeth, Andrew Wyeth, and Jamie Wyeth, plus a collection representing a cross-section of American art. This fall, the museum is also featuring the first solo museum exhibition of Baltimore artist Jerrell Gibbs, curated by Angela N. Carroll. ASG will be treated to a walk-through of Gibbs' exhibition, No Solace in the Shade, by the artist himself. The group will also receive a tour of the museum's other galleries, lunch at the Millstone Cafe, and an optional visit and tour to the N.C. Wyeth House & Studio. Before heading back to Baltimore, we will have the opportunity to view the first-ever museum display of a monumental, rediscovered masterwork by the renowned Hudson River School artist Jasper Francis Cropsey (1823–1900).
Registration fee $150 (limited to 45 people). Members-only registration through September 30th, guests welcome if there are still spaces after this date. Registration will close on October 17. Transportation, museum and tour fees, lunch, and snacks and wine on the bus will be provided.
