String Quartet Fellowship in Baltimore
Tuesday, March 10, 2026 1:30 PM EDT
Hybrid in-person and online program at The Woman's Club of Roland Park & via Zoom
Mount Vernon Virtuosi (MVV) string quartet fellowship participants will perform from their repertoire and talk about MVV's mission of making classical music accessible to people from all walks of life. The quartet lives in a townhouse in Baltimore, plays free community concerts every week, and works at food pantries around the city. For the year of their residency, they also lead the MVV orchestra from their respective sections and play concerts in MVV's Music House, a home provided free of charge for the musicians to live, practice and integrate into the surrounding community. The quartet fellows will talk more about some of their gigs, community work and this innovative idea of expanding the classical music landscape.
